one top a day - proyecto de un día

one top a day, originally uploaded by Trapera correcaminos.
This twin sized top took only a few hours to make. I saw this idea somewhere in flickr but cannot seem to find my inspiration quilt again.

easy!

I used the quick half square triangle method that is on a book called Relax and Quilt . Amazingly the directional fabric worked in such a way that the design lines up perfectly. I should make a note of this and remember for future projects.

colcha nueva- new blanket

colcha de miguelete, originally uploaded by Trapera correcaminos.

During our visit to Colonia Miguelete we toured the Elderly home built by the town. It was a very nice place where you could feel the care for the ganfathers and granmother that live either full or part time there. One group of ladies knits blankets for the residentes and also to help fund the recidence expenses. I got myself one of those blankets. I love the colors and the effect the blocks make when they strech. It is made of squares but the union looks wavy! I got the best deal I contributed to a good cause and I brought home a beauty.
